Admission for Freshmen of School Year 2008 - 2009 is now on!

I. REQUIREMENTS:

1. Certified true copy of the Pupil's Report Card (Form-138) wtih complete grades for the first and second quarter of the current year.

2. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the principal.

3. Must have a grade of 85% and above in English, Science and Math in the two grading periods. Subjects than English, Science and Math must have a grade of 83%.

4. Two 1X1 colored ID pictures.

5. Testing Fee of Php 100.00

II. FILING OF APPLICATION:

December 6, 2008

4. Time of Examination:
8:00 AM - 12:30 PM

III. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Applicants must submit the requirements to the screening committee for interview and assessment at the Department Heads' Room (Third Floor - Room 230)

2. Pay the testing fee and secure application form from Mrs. Liberty Garinga, Records Section at the Ground Floor. (Rm. 106)

3. Return the accomplished form to Miss Lourdes Gonzales, Guidance Counselor and secure a test permit once the application is approved.

IV. TESTING PROCESS:

1. Applicants must report at 7:30 AM on examination day for briefing and orientation before proceeding to the designated room assignments. LATE COMERS WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED

2. Applicants shall bring with them their testing permit with Examinee No., two No. 2 pencil (Mongol), snacks and water to drink.Nobody will be allowed to go out during the test.

3. The examination is composed of four areas - English, Science, Mathematics and Abstract Reasoning with 60 items each adn its given one (1) hour time allotment. A bell will be rung after each test.

4. Selected teachers of Makati Science High School shall be assigned to administer the test.

5. The results of the test will be posted at the bulletin boards at the campus or maybe downloaded from the school website www.makatiscience.edu.ph starting January 5, 2009.

6. Copy of the results of the test shall be sent to the office of the principals of those students enrolled in Makati Public Elementary Schools.

V. SELECTION PROCESS:

1. The examinee should get at least 80% of the totals score og 240 or an equivalent raw score of 192.

2. A 60:40 ratio shall be observed in admitting freshmen: Sixty Percent (60%) stude from the Public Schools of Makati and forty percent (40%) from Private Schools and Public Schools outside the Makati.

3. If there are less than of 200 student - passers there will be a second phase of examination on February 2, 2008 to fill up the vacant slots. The new set of applicants can submit their requirements beginning January 9, 2008. Previous applicants who did not pass need not apply.

4. Those who passed the examination can enroll on March 2008 upon receiving their original Report Card / Form 138 in Grade VI.

5. Orientation of the Freshmen will be held after the enrolment. The date will be announced later.
